`Extend NIRD services to Cambodia'

Hyderabad, Dec. 9

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Mr Samdech Hun Sen, has requested the Hyderabad-based National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) to extend its services to Cambodia. During his visit to the Institute along with a 31-member official delegation here on Sunday, Mr Sen said Cambodia could benefit from the experiences of NIRD in rural development. The senior faculty from NIRD had briefed the visiting delegation on various issues such as land and soil management, agricultural research and extension activities, various issues concerning farmers and efforts aimed at improvement of crops and farm practices, according to a release. - Our Bureau
