Our Bureau

New Delhi, Dec. 10 Real estate company Omaxe Ltd has submitted its bid for revamping Udaipur Airport. The bid for the Rs 200-crore project, invited by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is among the first of the 24 non-metro airports out of 35 taken up for development by the Government through public-private partnership.

“With the Government opening avenues, we see a good opportunity of being an important contributor towards the development of the country’s infrastructure,” Mr Rohtas Goel, Chairman and Managing Director of Omaxe Ltd, said.

Recently, the Government made a move to modernise 24 non-metro airports and to maximise revenues of these airports.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation will allow private players to manage the parking area, retail outlets and restaurants within the airport complex.
