Bank wage revision

This refers to your editorial “Banking on Performance” (Business Line, December 8). New technologies and selective outsourcing have been accepted by the unions, as also merit-based recruitment.

However, bank-wise wage revision is aimed at breaking the strong fraternity links prevalent among the bank workers, who are able to see the sinister design of patrons of private economy. Therefore, such a plan is bound to receive severe resistance.
