Management rejig at Lowe India

Mumbai, Dec.12 Lowe Worldwide has announced a new management structure for advertising agency Lowe India. Long-time Lowe National Creative Director, Mr R. Balakrishnan, has been promoted as Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of the agency.

He will be supported by Mr Charles Cadell, who will join Lowe from Leo Burnett, as CEO. Mr Pranesh Misra takes on a new assignment as Global Director of Marketing Accountability whilst remaining an ex-officio member of the Lowe management team. The new positions are effective from January and are all Mumbai-based.

Mr Prem Mehta will continue as the Chairman of the Lintas Group and provide direction for the Group’s continued expansion into new business disciplines and partnerships with Interpublic companies engaging with India.

Making this announcement, Mr Stephen Gatfield, CEO of Lowe Worldwide and EVP of IPG, said: “Lowe has enjoyed tremendous success in the Indian marketplace over many years. The new leadership team is equipped to continue this momentum as we enter into an era of explosive growth in a new communications landscape in which powerful, engaging ideas will be more important than ever.”

The management team will work closely with colleagues Mr Ashish Bhasin, who was promoted last month to Regional Director of Integrated Marketing and EVP of Lowe Worldwide; Director of Media Services, Mr Lynn D’Souza; Chief Strategy Officer, Mr Brent Gosling; and Lintas Group’s Chairman, Mr Prem Mehta, and the newly named Chief Talent Officer, Mr Fali Vakeel.
