Bisleri to back water sports

Mumbai, Dec. 13

Water sports will be the new vehicle for mineral water major Bisleri to build up its brand value. Bisleri is all set to sponsor India’s RS X class windsurfer Ashutosh Tripathi on his maiden voyage to New Zealand for the 2008 Olympics qualification rounds. Mr Ramesh Chauhan, Chairman and Managing Director of Bisleri International, said: “We will not let any talent go unnoticed and continue our efforts to promote sports the way we promote healthy lifestyles” ;. Tripathi recently bagged the seventh position in Bali international windsurfing regatta and was the first qualifier from India for a berth in the first Asian Beach Games to be held in 2008. The RS X windsurfing involves the surfer to reach 1.8 times the speed of the wind.
