Chennai, Dec. 14

Tata Indicom has introduced a Rs 199 pre-paid starter pack with one-year validity. With a talk time of Rs 2 and a daily rental of Re 1, the pack offers local calling rates of 40 paise a minute (between Tata Indicom subscribers), 50 paise a minute (for other mobile subscribers) and Re 1 a minute (for landline), a release said. The company has launched another scheme for mobile and Tata Indicom Walky users where certain recharge vouchers will be valid for double the regular period. Under this, mobile recharge vouchers for Rs 299 come with a two-year validity, while Walky pre-paid recharge vouchers of Rs 560 and Rs 1,120 will be valid for 90 and 365 days, respectively, the release said. —
