Bids for Mumbai Trans Harbour Project

Mumbai, Dec. 15

Reliance Energy Ltd and Hyundai Engineering Construction Company in a consortium, submitted its bid for the Mumbai Trans Harbour Sea-Link Project on Saturday. The project entails construction of a sixlane, 22 km bridge connecting Sewri in the island city to Nava in Navi Mumbai. It is estimated to cost over Rs 4,000 crore and will take over five years to complete, REL in a press release. The REL-HDEC consortium is supported by a team of consultants, which includes Systra of France, and BRDI from China. Mumbai Trans Harbour Sea-Link is expected to solve the burgeoning problem of traffic congestion.
