Our Bureau

New Delhi, Dec 18 IFCI Ltd is likely to finalise on Wednesday a deal to sell 26 per cent stake to a consortium of Sterlite Industries and Morgan Stanley.

Sources said that the Sterlite Industries and Morgan Stanley combine is the only bidder left in the fray.

Three consortia had made financial bids for the 26 per cent stake.

The IFCI board is to again meet on Wednesday to decide on the stake sale.

“There are two or three small issues....nothing major. We hope that the deal would be finalised by tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon,” a senior Finance Ministry official said.
