Caliber Technologies plans US foray

Hyderabad, Dec. 19 Caliber Technologies Pvt Ltd, a laboratory information management solutions (LIMS) provider for pharma, biotech and petroleum firms, will be launching its operations in the US soon.

The Hyderabad-based company has identified a location in Philadelphia for the purpose and other modalities were being worked out to set up a marketing team in the US, Mr Sathya Sekhar Surabhi, Managing Director, Caliber, told Business Line here.

Caliber’s flagship product for lab automation with a focus on compliance and policy enforcement, Caliber LIMS, had also achieved ‘Powered by SAP NetWeaver’ status, he said.

“We already have over 60 per cent share in LIMS space in Indian market. The SAP certification will take our solution further as it can be integrated with SAP applications on a seamless interface through NetWeaver,” Mr Surabhi said.

Caliber LIMS is being used by export-oriented pharma majors, including Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, for enterprise quality management and to comply with global regulatory norms of United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), WHO, TGS (Australia).
