Biometric ATM launched

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 24

Canara Bank has opened a biometric ATM in Neyyattinkara near Thiruvananthapuram. It was inaugurated by the Union Minister of State for Finance, Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal. Customers who have registered for using the biometric ATM can conduct transactions using their ATM card by placing their forefinger on a designated button on the ATM, a press release said. While conducting transactions, customers will be guided by a voice-based system that will give instructions in Malayalam. - Our Bureau
