Record sales by Madurai Aavin

Madurai, Dec 25

The Madurai unit of Aavin has set a new record of sale of milk per day. According Mr K. Thangarajan, General Manager (in-charge), a record sale of 1,99,158 litres was registered on December 13, beating the previous per day record sale of 1.85 lakh litres. Capacity augmentation of the plant by five lakh litres by setting up a mega dairy has been taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore, he said. - Our Correspondent
