Parryware unveils new collection

Chennai, Dec. 26 Moving towards its target turnover of Rs 350 crore for the current fiscal and Rs 425 crore for the next, Parryware Roca Pvt Ltd today launched a range of high-end bathroom products – Crestia Collection.

According to Mr K.E. Ranganathan, Managing Director of the company, the new range comprises 22 models of sanitaryware and shower solutions, all imported from Europe, China and Malaysia, for those who are looking for “affordable luxury”.

He said the current market size for bathroom solution products is Rs 900 crore, in which the organised sector accounts for Rs 500 crore while the rest is from the unorganised sector. Of the Rs 500-crore market, 26 per cent (Rs 130 crore) comes from the premium category. Piggy bagging on the booming construction industry and growing renovation market, Parryware is witnessing a growth rate of 22 per cent. In the premium segment alone, which is growing at 25 per cent, it has a market share of 20 per cent (Parryware brand 10 per cent and Roca 10 per cent), said Mr Ranganathan.

Parryware entered into an equal joint venture partnership with the Rs 8,500-crore European brand Roca to form Parryware Roca Pvt Ltd in 2006. It closed 2006-07 with a turnover of Rs 260 crore.

The company offers, apart from kitchen sinks, complete bathroom solutions including sanitaryware, bath tubs, shower and flushing systems. “We currently have 3,500 products, five manufacturing facilities, 700 distributors with 5,000 retailer network, and 17 customer care centres across the country,” Mr Ranganathan said.
