Education Money & Banking - Human Resources States - Tamil Nadu Banking institute signs pact with college Our Bureau Coimbatore, Dec 28 The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai has signed a pact with the Sri Krishna Arts and Science College here to train students pursuing their UG programme set up career path in banking services. “The MoU aims to create employable opportunities in the private and public banks. While the IIBF has no placement capabilities, the institute will offer expertise for training,” its CEO Mr R. Bhaskaran, said. IIBF is planning to tie up with 10 to 15 educational institutions this year. Until recently IIBF had focused on imparting training programmes only for the banking professionals and offering professional certification to bankers. ‘As the demand for qualified manpower in banks started to grow exponentially, we decided to widen our focus to include training programmes for college students. We have offered educational training programmes to professionals in the IT industry and the BPO sector. Our vision is in bridging the employability gap,’ he said.
