UPASI President passes away

Chennai, Dec. 31

The United Planters Association of Southern India President, Mr C.P. Kariappa, passed away in Bangalore on December 29. He was 60. He had been keeping unwell for sometime. He is survived by wife and three daughters. Mr Kariappa, who owns Kambihalli Estate in Chikmagalur, took over as UPASI President in September 2007. During 2006-07, he was the association’s Vice-President. He had also been the Chairman of the Karnataka Planters’ Association during 1990-91.  212;
