Research & Development Kansas State varsity team keen on farm research tie-ups Our Bureau Mumbai, Jan. 1 A high-level team of scientists from the Kansas State University, USA has arrived in the country to explore possibilities of collaborating with Indian universities and the industry in areas such as agricultural research, training and curriculum development. The six-member team led by Dr Fred Cholick, Dean and Director, College of Agriculture and Director Agricultural Experiment Station, will be in the country till January 11 and focus on opportunities in food processing and safety, biotechnology, and water resources management and irrigation. A special interactive session with the visiting delegation has been organised for January 5 in New Delhi to discuss prospective collaboration and mutual interest activities. Experts will share their thoughts on the status of the Indian food market, opportunities for Indian agripreneurs (entrepreneurs in agribusiness) with the university and knowledge initiative in agriculture.
