Safety stewardship scheme

The 23rd batch of Safety Stewardship Scheme was inaugurated at the Seamless Steel Tube Plant (SSTP) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) here recently. The Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, Mr S. Rathinam inaugurated the scheme. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rathinam emphasised that the use of personal protective equipment should become a part of everybody's nature. He released a pocket book and a CD on `Safety in material handling'. The Senior Deputy General Manager, G. Jayaprakash, and Member, Central Safety Committee, Mr C. Mohanan, received the first copies. -Our Bureau
