Mumbai, Jan. 2

Starcom MediaVest Group on Wednesday announced the appointment of Mr Sandeep Lakhina as the new leader for the West & South region of its lead mainstream agency — Starcom Worldwide. Mr Lakhina joined the media company last week and will be based in Mumbai. He will take over from Mr Manish Porwal, who is serving his last week at the network.

Immediately before joining Starcom Worldwide, upon his return from the US, Mr Lakhina headed the Indian operations of a UK-based digital marketing company. In his role as Managing Director – West & South for Starcom Worldwide, Mr Lakhina will lead the network’s operations in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Chennai and work actively with the ten specialist solutions units of Starcom MediaVest Group. —
