Pune, Jan 2 Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL)and McDonalds have teamed up to open a drive-through restaurant at the Hinjewadi IT park, near here. The outlet, spread over an area of 2,400 sq ft, has a seating capacity of 116 people. Talking to presspersons, Mr S.P. Chaudhary, Executive Director, Retail, HPCL, and Mr Amit Jatia, Managing Director, Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt Ltd, and joint venture partner, McDonalds India, said the outlet is the first of its kind in the country . McDonalds would be opening 10 such outlets in the South and Western region and five in the North and East, taking the total to 15 by the year-end.
