Programme on investor awareness in Madurai

Madurai, Jan. 3 Madurai Chapter of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India is organising an ‘Investors Awareness Programme’ at Tirumangalam, near here on January 5.

Sponsored by the Investor Protection and Education Fund, Department of Corporate Affairs, the free programme is aimed at creating awareness about the securities market as the trend in investing money in securities is on the increase, a release from the chapter said.

The release added that for the year 2008, the following members were unanimously elected as the office bearers of the chapter: Mr V.S. Krishnamoorthy as Chairman, Mr D. Sivasubramanian as Vice Chairman, Mr R.R. Gnanasekaran as Secretary, and Mr R.K. Babulal as Treasurer.
