Mumbai, Jan. 3 Shares of BGR Energy Systems Ltd, a company manufacturing equipment for power, oil and petrochemical companies, almost doubled on the first day of its trading. It debuted at a premium of 75 per cent against the issue price of Rs 480 on the NSE. During the intra-day, the scrip touched a high of Rs 922.70 and a low of Rs 840 before closing at Rs 901.45. The company witnessed a total turnover of Rs 73,959.31-lakh, as per the NSE data.
On the BSE, it debuted at a premium of 66.8 per cent. It hit an intra-day high of Rs 940 and a low of Rs 801 before closing the day at Rs 901.30.
The company had entered the capital markets with a fresh issue of 43.20-lakh equity shares and an offer for sale of 48.16-lakh equity shares by Mr B.G. Raghupathy, Chairman and Managing Director, and Ms Sasikala Raghupathy. From the proceeds, the company would use Rs 80 crore to set up plants in the Mundra Special Economic Zone in Kutch, Bahrain International Investment Park and Langfang of China. Of the total requirement of Rs 254.50 crore to augment long-term working capital, the company will finance about Rs 125 crore from the public issue. Burnpur CementBurnpur Cement too made its debut on the capital markets today. It opened at a premium of 25 per cent on the NSE against the issue price of Rs 12. During the intra-day, the stock touched a high of Rs 50.50 and a low of Rs 15 before closing at Rs 48.05. As per the NSE data the company witnessed a turnover of Rs 60,992.6 today. On the BSE, the scrip opened at a premium of 53.75 per cent against the issue price. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 49 and a low of Rs 17.80 before closing the day at Rs 46.35. The company stood second on the BSE turnover toppers’ list for the day.
