Shefexil nodal office in Shillong

The Shellac and Forest Products Export Promotion Council (Shefexil) is now in the process of setting up an office in the North-East to serve the exporters of the region.

According to sources, the council, now designated as the nodal EPC of the North-East for multi-product exporters from the region, is likely to locate its central nodal EPC office at the Secretariat of the NEC in Shillong, Meghalaya.

Amending the earlier public notice, the Director General of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, has now clarified that `in respect of multi-product exporters having their office/ registered office in the north-eastern States, RCMC (Registration-cum-Membership Certificate) may be obtained from Shefexil. -Our Bureau
