Farmers rearing ducklings in a paddy field near Thrissur in Kerala.The Centre has sponsored schemes to assist duck farms in the State. A maximum of Rs 85 lakh is provided to each farm. Revolving fund for purchase of breeding stock, feed ingredients, transportation, medicines and vaccines is also provided under the scheme.
