LifeCell gets certification

New Delhi, Jan. 8 LifeCell, a non-profit body dedicated to developing the standards in blood and cord blood banking, transfusion medicine and cellular therapy, has received the American Association of Blood Banks accreditation.

“It is a proud moment for us that LifeCell is the first and only cord blood bank in India to be awarded by an esteemed organisation like AABB for our commitment to quality.

“AABB accreditation is sought after by private and public blood banks globally, as it demonstrates a commitment to advanced learning, continuous improvement and innovation to sustain the highest possible level of quality and safety,” said Mr Abhaya Kumar, Vice Chairman, LifeCell, in a statement from the company.

LifeCell is an umbilical cord stem cell banking service provided by Asia CRYO-CELL Pvt Ltd.
