UltraTech Cement unveils mobile concrete testing lab

Tiruchi, Jan. 8 Those aspiring to build houses in Tiruchi, Perambalur and Pudukottai districts have good news – they all can avail themselves of the free technical consultancy services in ascertaining the quality of reinforcement materials, from UltraTech Cement.

UltraTech Cement, as part of its ‘product plus’ services, has introduced a mobile concrete testing laboratory for ascertaining the quality of reinforcement materials and for guiding those building houses about its quality.

Value-added service

Addressing the media after launching the laboratory here on Tiruchi, the Senior Vice-President of UltraTech Cement, Mr B. Venugopal, said that the value-added services would include concrete tube testing facility and all customer-oriented services for those building houses in these districts. He said that the company would also impart training to masons and supervisors on quality construction practices. Civil engineers would conduct field visit and create awareness among the individual house-builders on the important aspects of building materials for ensuring quality in construction.

Mr Venugopal also said that the non-destructive testing of reinforcement was the salient feature of the service.
