Gokaldas plans more units
Bangalore, Jan. 8
As part of its strategy to look at smaller cities to set up
manufacturing units, Gokaldas Exports is looking at
Hubli and Mangalore. The company already has units in
Mysore, Chennai and Tumkur, apart from around 43
units in Bangalore. Its Hyderabad plant, at a capacity of 2
million garments a year, is expected to start operations in
April. Gokaldas Exports factories together have a
capacity of 24 million garments a year. About Rs 10-15
crore will be invested each in the Hubli and Mangalore
plants. Each plant will have a capacity of 2 million
garments a year, said Mr Rajendra Hinduja, Executive
Director, Gokaldas Exports, on the sidelines of a meeting
to announce the China Sewing Machinery and
