Vodafone bonus recharge offer

Madurai, Jan. 9

Vodafone Essar has launched the facility of bonus recharge through SMS for its customers in Tamil Nadu, becoming the first service provider to launch the service. Under the scheme, customers can use the balance in the account to pay for bonus recharge by sending an SMS – SMS ACT BONUS<MRP of the Bonus recharge> to 111. This will allow special call rates to be activated for a particular period. Customers will receive a confirmation on activation of the bonus rat e and enjoy the new tariff for 30 days. To avail the facility, they should have subscribed to a scheme on which bonuses are valid and the balance in the account should be greater than or equal to the cost of bonus recharge. The scheme obviates the need to go to a retail outlet or make a call to avail themselves of bonus recharge, according to Mr Kumar Ramanathan, Operations-Director, Chennai and Tamil Nadu. —
