Outlook Industry & Economy - Cars Audi to launch A4 in mid-2008 New Delhi, Jan. 9 German car maker Audi, a part of the Volkswagen group, launched the A4, a premium sedan which would be produced in India and launched in mid 2008. Priced around Rs 25-30 lakhs, it would be available with a 3.2-litre petrol and diesel engine. The company has sold 800 models of its A4, A6, A8, Q 7 SUV and TT since mid 2004 and is looking at a sale of 3,000 units by 2010, said Ms Bettina Bernhardt, General Manager Press. Since its sales office became operational in September 2007, it has delivered 350 cars, added Ms Bernhardt. Audi is investing around Rs 170 crore at its Aurangabad facility where it expects to assemble 300 units of A6 during the year.
