Kolkata, Jan. 10

Gati, the Secunderabad-based logistics services provider, is to launch on Friday its centralised call centre at Nagpur to support 400 agents in 50 locations across the country, according to company sources.

The company, as the sources point out, has identified Nagpur also as the location for its proposed centralised distribution centre. The hub and spoke model will be adopted to run the centre which will serve as the central hubs for both its surface express and air express operations.

Gati, which has already acquired two freighters and teamed up with Air India to cater to the growing airfreight logistics market, proposes to acquire three more freighters by June, the sources added.
