Last date for rubber planting aid extended

Kottayam, Jan. 10 Rubber Board has extended the last date for submitting planting subsidy applications in respect of areas replanted and newly planted in 2007 up to February 29.

Applications can be submitted in the form available at the Web site of the Rubber Board, at www.rubberboard.org.in or at the regional offices concerned.

Fund eligibility

The growers owning planted area up to 5 hectares, including the area planted in 2007 in traditional areas (Kerala, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu ), are eligible for financial assistance limited to 2 hectares.

The assistance for replanting is Rs 20,000 and new planting Rs 12,000.
