MRPL’s fuel retailing outlet

Mangalore, Jan. 10

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), which is foraying into fuel retailing, will open its first retail outlet at Maddur on Mysore-Bangalore highway on January 12. The retail outlet under the brand name HiQ will be inaugurated by Mr M.S. Srinivasan, Secretary, Petroleum and Natural Gas. Mr P.B. Mahishi, Karnataka Chief Secretary, and Mr I.M. Vittalmurthy, Tourism Secretary of Karnataka, will be present on the occasion. Ms Lekshmi M. Kumaran, Deputy General Mana ger, Corporate Communication, said that the destination retail outlet is draped in eye-catching colours with the Cafe Coffee Day and Baskin Robbins outlets on the stretch, as part of the service offerings.

The technology at the outlet is fully automated and tamper-proof. The canopy is the only one of its kind in India and the location can bring large number of footfalls, she said.
