Diversification Markets - IPOs States - Maharashtra The co is coming up with a Rs 450-crore IPO and has filed Draft Red Herring Prospectus with SEBI. The prospectus delineates its new business plans. Rahul Wadke Mumbai, Jan. 10 Ramky Infrastructure Ltd, the flagship company of the Hyderbad-based Ramky group, is planning to enter manufacturing of prefabricated concrete structures business. The company would be trading the readymade structures as well as utilising for its upcoming mega infrastructure projects worth about Rs 4,500 crore. IPOThe company is coming up with a Rs 450-crore initial public issue and has filed Draft Red Herring Prospectus with SEBI. The prospectus delineates its new business plans. Talking to Business Line, Mr Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Chairman of Ramky Group, said that setting up of a new vertical for concrete structures was a part of the company’s backward integration process. It will help cut cost in the projects by an average 20 per cent, he said. Foreign technologyMr Reddy said that the company would be using foreign technology for standardisation of structures for installing of doors and windows. It will also fabricate sewage and pedestrian structures. It help save money and ensure timely completion of the projects, he said. “We would be investing in technology for cable ducting which does not require digging up of the road,” Mr Reddy said. Mr Reddy said that about Rs 200 crore from the proceeds of the IPO would be utilised for buying creating a equipment bank and setting up the new vertical. The company will also be focussing on the EPC business for industrial parks, which will also include developing residential structures in the parks. From design engineering and construction to creating environmental infrastructure such as sewage treatment plans, the company will cover the whole gamut, he said. Mr Reddy said that the company was exploring opportunities in the Central Government-sponsored Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission and the State Government-supported water supply and irrigation schemes.
