‘Use Nimsme as platform for learning, sharing experiences’

Hyderabad, Jan. 10 The National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (nimsme) launched its Phase-III of the International Executive Development Programmes (2007-08) on Thursday.
The Chief Guest Mr N. Ravi, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, explained the importance of globalisation in the economic development of developing countries.
A platform
He suggested that the delegates use Nimsme as a platform for learning, sharing experiences, skills and knowledge and apply them in their country.
The international phase consists of four programmes — Promotion of Micro Enterprises (POME), Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and Implications for SMEs (IPRIS), Food Processing Enterprises for Women (FPEW) and Training Methods and Skills for Managers (TMSM). All the programmes are of eight-week duration, from January 7 to March 1.
Dr U.B. Raju, incharge Director General, in his address outlined the background and development of the institute from its inception, over more than four decades.
Eighty-six participants from 39 countries, attending these programmes, participated in the function.
