SLP against Lanco Hills dismissed
Hyderabad, Jan. 10
Lanco Infratech Ltd informed on Thursday that the
special leave petition (SLP) filed by Mr S.A. Rahman,
in the case of Manikonda land purchased by Lanco Hills,
a group special purpose vehicle, has been dismissed by
the Supreme Court. The SLP was filed in appeal against
dismissal of the petition filed by Mr Rahman, a Member
of Legislative Council, claiming that the land allotted to
Lanco Hills by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial
Infrastructure Corporation Ltd near Hyderabad was a
Waqf property. Lanco Hills is developing a special
economic zone, including one of the tallest residential
structures in this contentious land. - Our Bureau
