Security Websense tops in security market Coimbatore, Jan. 11 Technology analyst firm IDC has named Websense the global leader in Web security having 21 per cent share of the $1.2-billion market. Its market share is said to be more than the combined total market share of the succeeding two Web security vendors. IDC forecasts the Web security market to grow to $2.3 billion by 2011. According to the study ‘Worldwide Web Security 2007-2011 Forecast and 2006 Vendor Shares’, the demand and interest in Web security solutions i s being fuelled by corporate concerns about threats becoming increasingly complex.
