Army and State fire brigade machinery, struggling to douse the Nandaram market complex fire, which broke out in the wee hours of Saturday, finally brought under control on Monday night the blaze in the multi-storeyed building in the country’s biggest wholesale market in Kolkata. The West Bengal Government said the 13-storeyed building was ‘unauthorised’ and the building’s plan was not available to firemen fighting the blaze.
