The Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, on Tuesday launched his Web site to enhance transparency in the administration and disseminate information on his public speeches in India and abroad. The Web site, financeminister.gov.in, will host content relating to his profile, achievements, public speeches, press statements and participation in parliament debates. Mr Chidambaram, however, made it clear that the Web site would not be “interactive” and that citizens c annot expect replies from the Finance Minister or his ministry on their queries.
