Apollo showcases winter tyres

New Delhi, Jan. 16

Apollo Tyres showcased its winter tyres - Acelere Ice and Hawkz Ice, meant for passenger vehicles and 4x4s at the Auto Expo. This ice range of winter tyres will cater to the European and North American markets, where consumers by law or motoring recommendation are required to switch to tyres designed to tackle subzero temperatures and road conditions during the winter months.

"Europe, which is the largest market for winter tyres in the world, has around 25 per cent of the replacement market of the annual volume of over 250 million tyres a year. This segment is also growing at a faster rate of around 4 per cent, compared to the overall growth rate of below 2 per cent. The ice range will provide Apollo Tyres Ltd, the ability to ensure a roundthe- year total brand experience for its export market passenger and 4x4 consumers across the globe," said the company statement. - Our Bureau
