Eradicating poverty

The article “Transporting people out of poverty” (Business Line, January 8) made interesting reading and provided a lot of information, backed by research. It is well-known that education is the prime factor to lift a person out of poverty. Similarly, transport lifts society out of poverty and ignorance. No doubt, ‘transportation’ works like the blood stream inside the human body and a good transport system builds up the body of society for all-round development.
