A view of the upcoming car project of Tata Motors at Singur. The much-awaited verdict on the petitions challenging land acquisition at Singur for the car plant has been pronounced by the Calcutta High Court on Friday. They found "no violation of the Land Acquisition Act or any other regulation" by the West Bengal Government in acquiring the land.
