Our Bureau Ariyalur, Jan 21 The Reserve Bank of India has notified State Bank of India as the lead bank for the newly-carved out Ariyalur district. An official communication from the District Collector, Mr V.M. Xavier Chrisso Nayagam, here on Monday said that the notification came into effect on January 15. Ariyalur was carved out from Perambalur district in November last year and the Indian Overseas Bank was the lead bank for the composite Perambalur district.
