Outsourcing BPO firms work around truckers’ stir Our Bureau Bangalore, Jan. 21 In the wake of the indefinite transport strike that began Sunday midnight, BPO firms in the city have geared themselves up in various ways to tide over the situation. While some companies asked their employees to report to work – on their own and only if their projects were in a critical stage, some BPOs faced no issues as their cabs worked as usual. While some employees travelled on their own, car-pooling was also done to reach the workplace. According to an Infosys spokesperson, the company arranged for BMTC buses to pick up employees from common points. It also made arrangements for the staff to stay on the campus overnight. Dr Pallab Bandopadhyay, Chief People Officer, Cambridge Solutions, denied that the strike had any impact on their operations. “All our contractors worked and the cabs were all on time.
