Balmer Lawrie net rises 6%

Kolkata, Jan 22

Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd has posted six per cent increase in net profit to Rs 19.99 crore during the third quarter of 2007-08. The profit growth has come on nine per cent increase in turnover from Rs 321 crore during the corresponding period of the last fiscal to Rs 350 crore. The profit before tax during the quarter has gone up by six per cent to Rs 30.39 crore. Net profit during the nine-month period increased by 18 per cent to Rs 66.18 crore. Profit before tax increas ed from Rs 83.97 crore to Rs 99.18 crore. Turnover has increased by 12 per cent from Rs 956 crore to Rs 1,076 crore.
