Mumbai, Jan. 22 The Aurangabad-based Endurance Group is setting up a manufacturing facility in Singur to supply auto components to Tata’s Nano. In the first phase, components supplied would be 2-2.5 per cent parts of the just unveiled Nano, said a company release here.

Endurance, one of the largest manufacturer and supplier of aluminium die castings in the country, is developing a number of aluminium die cast components for Nano, mainly gear housing, engine castings and bracket. The company will, subsequently, supply CVT housing also.

Endurance Group will be investing Rs 35 crore to set up this facility in the Tata Vendor Park for small cars project at Singur. The facility would be spread over eight acres.

Including the upcoming Singur project, Endurance Group has 20 plants in six locations in India, five plants in Europe and one plant in Thailand.

The company will continue to grow organically and inorganically and as such has targeted a global turnover of $1 billion for the year 2009-10, said the company authorities.
