New Delhi, Jan. 22 To boost cooperation with Arab states, India is likely to finalise a memorandum of understanding with the League of Arab States, said Mr N. Ravi, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, while releasing FICCI-IAEF (Indo-Arab Economic Forum) publication.

Mr Ravi said the cooperation approach set out by the MoU laid down the path between India and Arab states to take their economic, political and cultural relations to a new trajectory.

FICCI is also organising an ‘India-Arab Investment Projects Conclave’ in April to focus on sectors like infrastructure, real estate & SEZs; engineering & construction; manufacturing; banking, venture capital & insurance; healthcare; education; IT & ITES; tourism & lifestyle amongst others.

Dr Amit Mitra, Secretary General, FICCI, sought cooperation of the Ambassadors of Arab countries to mobilise participation for the India-Arab Investment Projects Conclave and urged them to bring projects which could be offered to Indian public and private sector companies.
