HCL opens career development centre in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, Jan 23

HCL opened its first career development centre (CDC) here on Wednesday to offer specially designed courses in hardware and software to students. This is the second CDC in Andhra Pradesh after the one in Hyderabad. The HCL Infosystems Associate Vice-President, Mr S.T.M. Eswar, said the company had set up 47 CDCs in the country and there were plans to increase the number to 100 by June.

New centres would come up in Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Kakinada, Warangal and Khammam in AP.

The CDC would provide certificate courses for graduates, under-graduates on part-time and full-time basis which range from 50 hours to three years and the fee would be between Rs 10,000 and Rs 65,000, he said.
