GTL net jumps 95.5%

Mumbai, Jan. 24

The Mumbai-based network services provider GTL Ltd has recorded a 95.5 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 40.67 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007 compared with Rs 20.80 crore in the corresponding period last year. Total revenues were up 55.3 per cent to Rs 454.61 crore (Rs 292.70 crore). On a standalone basis, the company’s net profit saw a more than three-fold growth at Rs 33.72 crore (Rs 9.85 crore). GTL offers services and solutions to address the network life cycle requirements of telecom carriers and technology providers. The GTL scrip was down by 0.88 per cent to close at Rs 259.55 on the BSE today.
