Financial Services Magma Shrachi Fin Q3 net up Our Bureau Kolkata, Jan. 25 Riding on a 34-per cent increase in disbursements at Rs 865 crore (Rs 645 crore), Magma Shrachi Finance Ltd posted an 85 per cent increase in profit after tax at Rs 17.12 crore (Rs 9.26 crore) for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007. Commenting on the performance, Mr Sanjay Chamria, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, said “in order to expand business volumes and add new growth avenues, the company is making significant progress in the southern and western markets, which will help drive the next round of growth”. He said the company had already put in place the right mix of experienced manpower and robust risk management system for rolling out products which will minimise the risk profile. The revenues for the quarter were higher at Rs 123.42 crore (Rs 55.61 crore). The company statement has put the EPS at Rs 19.79 against the Rs 15.76 in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
