Sutureless cataract surgery

Hyderabad, Jan. 26

Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President, inaugurated Stellaris MICS, a sophisticated machine developed by Bausch and Lomb, at Maxivision Laser Centre here on Friday. The Micro Incision Cataract Surgery allows the patients to go for sutureless surgery. With the minimum incision being 1.8 millimetres, the technology would ensure faster recovery for the patients. Dr K P Reddy, CEO and MD, said: “This would also minimise the chances of infection.” —
