The Leela Kempinski Kovalam Beach Resort has won the `First Choice Gold' award for 2006. Given by First Choice, a UK-based travel and leisure company that is a subsidiary of TUI Travel, the annual awards are based on nominations by guests, says a company press release. The award is given for consistent service and scores of over 90 per cent guest satisfaction following a multi-stage selection process, the release adds.
