Jindal Saw wins Rs 800-cr order

Mumbai, Jan. 29 Jindal Saw Ltd said it has received a Rs 800 crore order from Cairn Energy India for supply of line pipes, tracer tube, insulation and bends for Barmer Salaya pipeline project of Cairn.

The pipeline project, from Mangala oilfield to Salaya, will cover over 600 km with a weight of about one lakh tonnes.

The company will execute the order from May 2008 to December 2008. Cairn in partnership with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation will own the heavy crude-oil transport pipeline. Jindal Saw is a part of $10 billion Jindal Group.
